Pawpaw was born in Mississippi on March 23rd, 1930. He served in our nation's military, served as a policemen and was always a provider for his family. Pawpaw enjoyed fishing, westerns on TV, sitting in his chair with his "flipper", wood work and much more. Military Service: US Air Force ~ (Retired) ~ Korea and Vietnam Obituary of Vernon Lloyd Schneider, Sr. (March 23, 1930 - July 31, 2012) D'Iberville, MS ~ Vernon Lloyd Schneider, Sr., 82, of D'Iberville, MS died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Biloxi. Mr. Schneider was a native of Biloxi and was of Catholic Faith. He was a USAF Retired Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Mr. Schneider was a retired policeman for Mexico, Missouri and a former Security Guard at the MS Coast Coliseum. He is preceded in death by his parents, Merrill and Margaret Cannette Schneider; his brothers, Merrill, Herman, Edward and Gerald; and one grandson. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Gladys Schneider; his daughters, Diana (Gordon) Clark, Deborah (Johnny) Bailey and Dolores (Brian) Smith; his sons, Vernon "Bernie" (Michelle) Schneider, David (Mary) Schneider, Steven Schneider and Eric Schneider; his brother, Frank Schneider; 28 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. There will be a 2:00 p.m. procession for a 2:30 p.m. graveside service at Biloxi National Cemetery. Pawpaw has a beautiful wife, 7 children, 28 grandchildren & 18 great-grandchildren. His animal buddies are Sampson, Rocky & Miss Ramsey. He is very much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family. He is in the sunsets we see in the evening, he is in the stars we see at night and he will forever be in our hearts. We miss you pawpaw & we love you.
